When conducting active vibration control experiments it is often necessary toomit the measurements of the contribution of power transmission due to rotational momentsbecause of the lack of suitable transducers. Here, a transducer is described which can be usedto measure the translational and rotational power transmission from a source to a receivingstructure. A description of the procedure used to calibrate the device is also included. The results from the calibration show that whilst the amplitude of the forces, moments, translational, and rotational displacements can be measured accurately, it is the phaseaccuracy of these measurements that limit the accuracy of measurements of powertransmission. Key Words: active vibration isolation, structural intensity, force transducer, momenttransducer, power transmission
